What is CONTACT Crisis Helpline? 5K Results 2012
CONTACT Crisis Helpline is a 501 (c) 3 status non-profit 10K Results 2012
organization established in 1972. 24 hour day, 7 days
a week telephone crisis and referral helpline service
that is 100% free, anonymous, and confidential.
We have answered over 10,000 phone calls per year,
from both civilian and military people in our community.
These calls range from high risk suicide to requests
for information to callers simply needing to hear a
friendly voice.
Since its establishment, in Fayetteville in the early
70’s, we have operated continuously for over 39 years
in the area. We are staffed by trained volunteers who
have shared the same heart and passion to be “an ear
to hear and a heart to listen” to the community.
We are accredited by CONTACT USA and affiliated
with Life-Line International, and supported by
fund raising and donations such as this one.
